This event combines a mountain hike with Karate history. The table mountain trail (5km and 750m net vertical gain to the summit) has three "false summits" - viewpoints where many turn around. We'll do 10-15 minutes on kushanku (Wado) at each one.
There is a piece that's narrow with water and rocks below, solid rock above - and two areas where the trail narrows across steep slopes. We'll discuss and do Nahensi teki 1, 2, and 3 (traditional) at those points.
Bring lunch, lots of water, good boots and wear long pants. No gi.
